    Never been into soccer, much.
Grew up around it, not my game. Baseball, football, shooting sports was me.
Yes, we had a library of .22s we checked out and back in for each class.

But I earlier saw the vid where a retiring old ref, at his last game was clumsily honored, man style.

One player came up to him, still on the field, game in play and took his shirt off, an infraction, just to get the old fellow's very last Yellow Card and then both teams locked arms together, enemies five seconds ago, kneeled at his feet to honor, just as the game clock wound down.

I don't care what sport, but honoring the sages (forget the shiny showboys) is very important.

Pro league and this old fellow had been out there keeping up with twenty somethings longer than any of these guys had been alive.

Made my little heart twitterpate some at the scene.

Beans in the oven, ribs out of the oven, sauced and chilling in the fridge. I had forgotten we're getting the oldest granddaughter today. Susan's picking her up at 11.

    Morn'n all

Misty and soggy here. Was hoping for some decent weather for my daughter to pressure wash the decks. Guess I'll have to wait til tomorrow to get it done.
Changing to about that here in central. Nothing falling yet.

Overcast has deepened, wind picking up.
Radar looks clear, but the air itself is not.

Overcast and cool here. Had an egg on a bagel and some coffee and am working on an order for more truck parts to finish the interior.

Thawing some chopped chicken I had put in the freezer and plan to make burritos for supper. I need to go prep my salad fixings for lunches for the week.
Kids will be here for a couple of hours. Dad is working the lunch at the fire station being served to the Freedom Riders. Mom is working this afternoon.

Need to get stuff in the kitchen done before they arrive. They will probably want to be outside even though it is yucky weather...they don't seem to care what the weather is.
