Looks like things could get sporty tomorrow.

Look at all that Red Sweat coming our way from the south!
Keeping these things going for a while it looks like.

I think we still could use some rain in many places, main watershed areas, but the timing is not in our favor as race fans.

No, I'm affording them a very lucrative living apparently! He replaced a valve. $555. I replaced a valve and a supply line. ~$30. I just didn't trust myself to do this main valve correctly. I'm sure I could have, but I didn't want to take the chance.
I was a little busy cooking or eating with family when this posted, but sometimes, I call the plumber just to save down time in case something goes wrong.

We have shut offs for our outside spigots and of course they were shut off (for about three yrs) when we moved in winter.

When it came time to open them, they were stuck. I'm not half as strong as I used to be, but still not weak. I also have tools that can grab and shread almost any pipe.

I did not want that. I could feel lots of pipe flex inside the walls as I was attempting to defeat the stuck valves. Screw this!

I had a plumber out to open a valve for me. But it was the security of knowing that if something went wrong the guy is right here, right now.

Security of knowing that, if it broke, the fix would come sooner than later held value to me.
I paid him $130 to turn two valves for me.
    :dunno:
