I need to buy a new printer/scanner. I went to use mine the other day and it won't even come on. I don't know what happened to it. Just stopped working.

I have an HP2700 series that, when it's working, works perfectly for my purposes. The problem being, once you disable all the excess bluetooth and wifi and Apple ecosystem features that are nothing but security hazards, it may or may not continue to function properly. Right now, it's been working for several months, which is a new all time record.

Mine's an HP Deskjet 3520. There's nothing Apple-related about it, but it does have wifi, which is a must have for me.

It would show up as "HP DeskJet XXXX" or similar on any wifi scan.
Oh, it does show up that way. I used to just have it on my network, but somewhere along the line, it dropped off and now (or when it was working) I would have to connect to it manually to print, just like another network, so I guess it does have that.

That's just it. They seem to have a mind of their own.

There's a way to factory reset. That is all I've found to fix mine.

If my printer were working, it would just be a matter of hooking it up via a cable to my computer and re-installing the driver. I just never got around to it. But now it's a moo point.
