This isnt really a frame of thinking, its a fact. I voted for H Ross 2 times with great optimism and the democratic candidate won as a result. It is certain that H Ross had an impact of the election results.

It was people with your thinking, that a vote for a third candidate is a vote for the guy I like less, is why Perot didn't win. I, too, voted for Perot. This last go around I voted for Gary Johnson. The next election I'll examine the candidates and vote for who I believe is best for the job and represents my interests. I'm not going to compromise just to keep someone else from winning. Keeping the current two parties in power is like punching yourself in the balls and wondering why they hurt so much.

At this point its like picking the least of the evils.... There are no really good choices. I always thought the best chance we had was H. Ross Perot. All he did was take away republican votes with no chance of winning. Sad state of politics these days.

I HATE defensive voting...still looking for a good candidate to earn my votes.

I know this is a bit of a hijack, but it's get involved with your reps, let them know what you want and call them on votes you disagree with. Challenge those who you disagree with in the primaries, then vote to fix the country in the elections. Back to the beginning of the loop.

Most third party folks just want to stand in the corner, blame everyone else and call them names. Show me a viable candidate, not a spoiler who's going to make things worse.
