On one hand I'm happy that we lost. Having to work in Chicago dailying I can only imagine the traffic/footwork/security that I would have had to deal with for such an event. The Taste of Chicago is bad enough once a year.

On the other hand what does this mean of the US (as a whole). One of the last superpowers left in the world has just been SLAPPED in the face by the world and told "NO". Is this a sign of the world having no respect for us and knowing we won't do anything about it?

Where have you been for the last 16 years? This is the norm. When we do manage to get a pat on the back by some other country these days, it's from the likes of Chavez for our fast socialistic track.
