Been a long time since I cranked an ice cream maker

The one I used to crank on was still in the family but it has gotten away.
When the straw berries were ripe we would pick a bunch and crank out some ice cream. Prep the berries. Start the process and add the berries. Also fresh blue berries and pears. Man those were the days.

The chicken was fried up in Lard they made right on the farm.

Lard,bacon grease..B&G,Ham,Bacon.Pappa lived till 92 eating this stuff.I say the Prince Albert hand rolled may have took a few years off his life.

If by "fun" you mean...
climb steps all day, over and over
try to thaw big pipes with inadequate heat
slip on the ice and drop like a sack of potatoes, landing my left wrist onto a sharp broken piece of ice
and just generally sweating on the stair, then freezing while standing still....

Oh, and had to deal with a buttload of managers they shipped in to "help".

Well, that's why they pay me.



I just called work to see how my relief is doing.
They sent him away cause our stuff was mostly ready.
But they still have big stuff to thaw out.
