I think it's possible that the young healthy people who traditionally did not buy health insurance are unaware that the mandate is not longer law. Once they cancel and stop buys, things are going to unravel pretty quickly.
I noticed that the biggest proponents of Obamacare are young people with no chronic illness who pay very low premiums because they have a lousy job that doesn't pay much and therefore get a big subsidy. I know one guy who's like "Obamacare is great because health insurance only costs me $50 a month!" Of course, these young people don't get that with a $10,000 deductible they still might go bankrupt from a medical bill even though the insurance paid a lot. Young people don't remember when things were better in healthcare. (Not that it was that great to begin with, but costs are radically out of control now.)
