Hmm...I just drove home from visiting LadyGhost and between 7:30 when I went after work, and 9:30 the roads actually got BETTER. They were slick when I went, but on the way home the roads were wet, but not slick. They must have put salt down and it had time to work.

This is what I'm thinking about... If i an afford it I want to do 4 - 4'X4' beds. Does that seem like too much for a first timer??
My experience has been that the hardest part of keeping a garden is keeping the weeds and grass out. We have five 4x4 boxes and a 35X20 garden. We generally grow tomatoes, a variety of peppers, strawberries and assorted other things.

I think the 4x4 boxes took about nine cubic feet of dirt. We got black dirt and topped it with some miracle grow garden soil.

Cyprant, if you get that book and follow the instructions, you will be amazed at the results. There's no dirt and no fertilization involved. Once you are set up, all you have to do is water and weed regularly.

Soooo, I'm probably gonna be moving to Texas.

P.S. If you're a facebook friend, don't mention anything about this on there, I haven't told anybody yet.

I liked the part where he was pulling a long chain out of a side container on his bike to lock it up and you could see in the movie a hole for the chain to come into the bottom of the container.
