NOT my laptop but for this user I would STRONGLY suggest that expect this laptop has sentimental value for the user and the user is being cheap and does not want to buy a new machine.

However I think the user might not have a choice. Jedi can't get the machine to boot up from the CD/DVD drive. Jedi does not believe the HD went bad like user is saying but the CD/DVD drive. Jedi can boot into windows XP before the machine kills itself with BSOD about a hardware issue.

But I should not talk bad about the user I'm still holding on to my beloved desktop going on 8 years now.
Why is it that mankind holds on to their machines like their were alive and we have such a hard time giving them up (ie. cars, phones, PCs, etc..)

I don't follow football but I recall in jr high seeing and hearing about him and the way he played. He was good! Glad to see it was a HOAX!

F***** it! I give up! This laptop has won. This headache is SSSSSOOOOO not worth it.
freaking slow a*** machine with HD and optical issues. Heck can't even load KNOPPIX!!! BIOS keeps losing the optical drive.
