Do you have links to the specific components you are asking about?

I was comparing two computers ...

    HP Pavillion (all-in-one) : [ame="http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-23-b010-All-in-One-Desktop/dp/B009CQOXQA"]Model 23B010[/ame]

    and

    HP Pavillion Desktop : [ame="http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-p7-1430-Desktop-Black/dp/B009I9N51K"]Model P71430[/ame]

The "All-in-One" is not the one I am leaning towards for several reasons ... no USB 3.0, I think cooling would be an issue and I don't see how I could add more RAM.

    @ all

I was afraid there would be more to consider than what I asked about.

In addition to surfing INGO ... I would like to watch movies, burn data DVD's, and my favorite ... Photoshop.

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon, but I don't think that amazon is the best site for computers.
    Have you looked on Newegg.com?
I am positive you could find better deals on better pre-builts than what those 2 have to offer.
All-in-one PC's tend to be a pain in the A**, when trying to upgrade or change anything out.
They usually use the crappiest quality motherboards that meet the bare minimum for the specs they are advertising, hence no space for upgrades.

    How big is your yard?
Not too big, just need a push mower really. Although the family is helping out. Was looking more for longer term and seeing the prices and what all i might need later. Granted, I guess I should see what kind of home we'll be buying later. Oh well, was running other errands anyway

First ever NWI INGO Meet & Mow!

Too funny. Well, everyone is more then welcome to come on over and mow my yard, haha. Feel free to OC your lawn mower on over.

Anyone see any 38 or 9mm available locally?

Just seen some 38 at Blythes in Griffith. Also, they used to have some 9mm, but they didn't have any today. Cabalas had some good ammo and great prices back this weekend, but did not see any pistol.

Love how this group bounces around from shooting, to mowing to computers and to fencing and everywhere and anywhere in between. Love it. :ingo:

+1 for Newegg.com! I have purchased just about all of my computer parts from them for close to 20 years now.

Tigerdirect is also very good :yesway:

What about this WD? Pretty nice one for about the same price range.

It's got a nice amount of ram and a good processor that will be able to handle anything you do on Photoshop. The graphics card is good too.
This isn't a super high performance gaming machine, but when it comes to Photoshop and web surfing, multitasking, it would get the job done.

Looks like 1 great big one . . . $5 ought to cover it

Seriously, I suppose I could take them all off your hands. Might be easiest to figure out a morning when I can just come out there with a shovel and start digging them out. I'll take as many as I can fit in my Touareg.

Send me a PM and we'll figure it all out.

    @All PC Nerds

WD is completed a newbie with PCs and I mean that in a nice way. He can outgun most of us with a handgun (minus TurnandShoot4 I think) but the PC world he is a fish out of water. So what he needs is direct links to comparable products in the price range he quoted.

Hey now! I can plug a computer into the wall (or that battery thingy under the desk) and I can push that little button up front that makes all pretty pictures show up on the screen.
