    Where is it playing?

Bill B, it's playing at Showplace 16 in Schererville... not sure of all the times it is playing but pretty sure there is a 2PM showing...

YUP, at the SHOWPLACE 16 theater in Schererville that is located behind Menards, a block west of US 41.

Well worth the price of admission :yesway:

Both my lovely wife and I enjoyed it very much. It was pretty true to the book in concept, but used different actors than Part 1. The concepts of Rand's message were portrayed faithfully.

The book is considered the 2nd most influential book in the world, with The Holy Bible considered as the most influential.

    Considered by who?

The Qur'an has been infinitely more influential than Atlas Shrugged. It's silly to say otherwise. I would call the Qur'an an easy contender for the number two slot.

This top 100 list doesn't even include Atlas. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?featur...=/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EQucyuKsrOE

The Library of Congress doesn't have it in its top 88.

    Nor here.

Not trying to be a jerk, and I'm as Libertarian as they come. Rand is defintiely on my soon-to-read list, but so much else keeps piling up ahead of it. And I'm certainly not debating that it is infact quite influtention especially among gun owners as a whole. But to toss it out there as second after the Bible itself? Well that seems nuts to me.

Also I'm a bit surprised you're such a fan since Rand was an incredibly harsh critic of religion and is quite revered in the atheist community. So much so that Paul Ryan is often suspected of being a closet atheist after calling Atlas Shrugged one of the biggest influences on his philosophy.

    Considered by who?

I suppose many western scholars, and I suppose with the western bias they might ignore the Q'oran as very few people actually have read that book. Most who follow its teachings can't even read it, so its hard to argue they are influenced by it, but rather they are influenced by their spiritual leader and his interpretation.

But its a saying that has been made about Atlas Shrugged for decades, I've been hearing since I was in college and I went to college in the late 1970's so its been around for a long time. The book is now something like 55 years old? I'd say that saying has been around for roughly 30+ years.

While Rand did not follow any religion and while she was an objectivist, she was actually not a harsh critic of religion in the many interviews that I saw of her, in her own voice. Yes, she was embraced by the atheists, for their own cause. But she allowed for each to come to their own conclusions.

If Andy turns into a Zombie then I call first dibs on his guns :rockwoot:

We all know that Zombies cannot use guns so they will be useless to Andy when he joins the mindless masses of the walking dead.

You got them, on one condition. If I were to turn into a zombie. You have to pinky swear you'll take me out with a single shot from the 500 using the special silver bullet tony gave me.

My cousin talked to an account specialist at dish and they ended up giving him a roku box, $36 to purchase the shows on amazon or something, and showtime and hbo for a while. Might want to try calling them and see what you can get out of the deal.

Lonehoosier, hope that your class went well. Sorry that I was not able to make it, but probably a really good thing that I did not go. Was not a super bad day for me, but wasnt a day that I spent a lot of time being able to do a lot of things either.

    Kydex Workshop

Had a great kydex workshop today. Thanks to geronimojoe, wild deuce and gunbunnies for making out today. I was hoping for a bigger turn out. My plain is to do a bimonthly workshop so plain on one in December. I think the next one I'm going to put up the money for the materials and you can just pay per kydex sheet, rivet and chicago screw that you use. So be on the look out for the next kydex workshop.

    Sadclownwp,
You shouldn't dis John Moses Browning like that, just saying...

Lones class was very educational... I even learned something and didn't have anything to make...

Gotta project coming up soon though...

CTC, looks like someone was out riding today... or just posting pics from your last ride...

Man the weather was crazy today.... T-shirt, raining sideways, windy, drastic cold, you really knew you were in the chicagoland area... if you didn't like the weather all you had to do was wait a moment... it would drastically change...

    Muahahaha ....

I fired up my Dell XPS T550 (circa 1998). Had to blow out some dust, warm up the tubes, throw in some coal, readjust some wiring, and beat the crap out of my old roller-ball mouse (get it to work) ... woohoo! I'm cooking now!

    mad-scientist2.jpg

Thirty-two minutes to fire up and get online ... five minute INGO page downloads ... fifteen minutes (and counting) to make this post ... I ROCK!!!

(Yes, that is an image capture from my webcam about an hour ago ... and yes, that is Jedi spying on me)
