I go with DUI. Starting in Portage is the main factor that leads me to believe this.

No offense to any Portage dwellers...but I did live in South Haven for 15 years, so I kinda know the area...and its residents.
Every time I see a scooter driven by a bundled up driver in winter...DUI is always my go to answer.

The other day, when it was about 20 degrees, I saw a disheveled looking 20 something guy riding a BMX style bike. I said to my wife:

We know 2 things. He has DUIs and he can't afford an under 50cc scooter.

She said: "he could just like riding a bike for exercise".

I said: "If he were riding a Mountain bike or a racing type bike in exercise clothes, you may have a point. I stick by my assessment.

I see guys riding scooters along 30 in Valpo, Merrillville and Schererville year round, in all weather. Riding along a highway in the pouring rain would be the worst in my view.

Does the Old Railroad tracks - converted to a Bike / walking path go that far ?
No, goes in to downtown Chesterton and then gets sketchy for a bit, surface streets and Nipsco service road, then picks up again in Michigan City for a short while then back to surface streets and heads for Michigan.

Hey, do any of you guys with dogs need this? New in package heavy canvas hammock-style seat cover for the back seat. It hooks to the front and back headrests. I think I paid about $50 for it several years ago and never used it. $25 if anyone can use it.
