My microwave operates similarly enough to the ones at the mill. With most of the microwaves I've used before, if you just push the start button, it will start with 30 seconds on the clock and subsequent presses of the start button will add 30 more seconds. Neither the ones at work or the one at home have this. Instead, both have a "quick minute/60 seconds button" and then you still have to press the start button too

It's a stupid, small thing but I really miss having it.

Got word last night that one of my fencers earned the Most Valuable Player award for her fencing team tonight.

That means of the 2 teams where I coach/coached, the 2 top female athletes were started in Saber fencing by me, and continued to be coached by me (even if 1 of them formally had a different coach, both she and her parents considered me to be her actual coach) and both were the top fencers for their team.

One of them was also ranked the top fencer in our 3 state fencing conference, the other was regularly near the top of the fencers in the conference.

Both competed against each other during the high school season as friends. Both attended USA Fencing sanctioned events outside of the high school conference with me. Both qualified for the Junior Olympics.

    Amazingly proud of both.

Congrats Maggie at Marian Catholic and Za'Niya at Homewood-Flossmoor.

I was bringing Mama Snap to the ER and the sun was shining bright. Five minutes later when I was parking the car, I was being pelted with sleet. (Mom has been having some shortness of breath and coughing up a bit of blood. Getting checked out. )
