The Cavalier Inn on Goslin St. in North Hammond has always had very good polish food and pierogi. Your typical friendly neighborhood tavern with good food. Unfortunately, we haven't been back since the Wu Flu struck.

Guess there was an explosion today at the mill in Burns Harbor. Seen a red smoke plume from here at the shop.
    No injuries were reported

I saw that same red plume here in Valpo at lunch time. Glad to hear there were no injuries.

I remember when the Beta Steel explosion happened. The concussion from the blast shook my house east of Valpo where I was living at the time.

Guys I've got better things to do than criticism about neighbors trash bin placement and yelling at clouds.
No you don't, because you waste all of your time accusing boomers of it.
I see another jury duty notice. Time to ink my pen and take it to paper and express how I cannot sware on a book I do not believe in therefore I am unfit for a juror
You do not swear on a Bible. That would be a violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution to the United States.

You afirm/give your word. Now, if your word is worthless, then yes you are unfit to be a juror, or a human being.
    Wait a second.

I think my mom is a boomer.

    Hoarder, check

Out of touch with reality, check.

    Yup... Ughhh
I know you do not believe the Bible, but...

Ephesians 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; 6:3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

    Shared via Bible KJV

Kind of like live long and prosper if you do and shrivel up and die if you don't.

Yes, it was a nice day.
Started putting up my display. Worked slow. Still sore from collecting leaves yesterday.

The base of one of my "trees" was rotted. So I had to make some emergency repairs to get me through the season. Dad and I were debating on making it out of plastic parts next year.

Put up a new nativity scene in the side yard. Ran 120 feet of ext. cord for it's light.

    Controllers are mounted.
    Power distribution system set up.

And then we ran out of energy.

Well, we also dragged out the 20 something totes to the porch. And my 2 wheel cart is in parts, so we had to CARRY them. ugh.

Crave case from White Castle (for some) effect.

I'll, thankfully, never understand the reaction folks have to specified restaurants.

I know things are done cheaply, but geez.

This "manger" uses leather straps instead of hinges.
And everything is held together with brads.

I guess this summer I'll have to install hinges, and nail/screw all the boards down better.

I thought the Navy was all "any port in a storm."

I like the stuff to last.

I had to rebuild one of the bases for my "tree" last year.
Looks like the original tree will need a new base next year.

That's why my Dad and I were discussing plastic options.
But I'm not sure the plastic will hold up to the wind in the cold weather.
