I just did a transfer at Sheepdog in CP. Looks like someone broke in, not sure what they took. I really didn't press for info but the bottom glass next to the door was boarded up and one of the handgun counter top glass was busted. Yes still $20 transfers great couple guys

Hey on a side note I have a Craftsman self propelled push mower that needs work but free to a local INGO member that wants to part it out or fix it. Starts sometimes and other times not. PM me if you want it and when you can pick it up. Needs to be picked up at the Bosak Jeep store in Merrillville

Well that stinks, I was hoping for a nearby place to shoot my rifles :(

You could do it there by joining AND then rebuilding the bench and fixing the backstop. The dirt is already in place. It's just a matter of putting up something to hold the targets/stand/chicken wite and you could then use it.

Jedi looked into doing just that and the club membership was not oppose 3 years ago when jedi inquired. Once you are a member you can propose upgrsdes/fixed to the place.

Jedi just never did it because work got crazy and jedi spends more time now in chiraqi then NWI. So it was not worth it for jedi anymore.

Funny you mention that, I have avoided Willow Slough for over a decade because an RO there. We got into an argument because he thought you HAD to have a carry permit to shoot, and did not understand the law and that you can legally transport to and from the range. Almost wasted an entire day and hadn't been there since.

Haven't been to WS since I was a teenager(I'll be 35 in December)The ROs were irritating enough then, that's why my dad started taking us to JP.

Willow Slough is now privately run by a company out of Illinois. I understand they have done improvements and now charge $5 an hour.

It really is in a weird spot. A guy I work knows the owner or something and wants me to check it out. The one time I went by maybe 2 months ago they were closed, presumably for corona related shutdown reasons

Just got back to the region after a week at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. Had a great time, though it was jungle-like humid with the heat down there.

If you like majestic holes in the ground, it is a must see. Seriously, it was magnificent and we had a great time. This is probably the last vacation we will take an an entire family and was only made possible by the pandemic. My oldest son has been out of work since March and would not have been available and we would have been at the fair with various 4-H duties this week. We made some lemonade out of this COVID-19 lemon.

As a topper, my son got a job offer and accepted a job doing exactly what he wants to do, on Tuesday. He drove home Monday night to get stable internet and a quiet, private place to do the final Zoom interview, and came back to where we were Tues. morning. However, he is living in Burlington, KY right now and the new job is in Grand Rapids, MI. So, there will be hauling to be done in the next couple of weeks.

    Gee.
I'd volunteer to help with moving.. but...
    You know, the "Virus"

I really think it’s just a father son team that do mostly transfers. They have so guns but I wouldn’t think of it as a gun store. They just don’t have enough inventory even when there was investors to have.

Griffith Izaak like one one in Merville/Hobart next to I-65 both have skeet ranges. Bigretic is the president of the merville/hobart one which is more active.

The griffith one has more land but they only focus on skeet. They have a single lane rundown outdoor firing range but it has not been used in years. The bench is beyond damage as is the backstop. It needs repairs but their members are more interested in skeet so they have not fixed it.

The one in merville/hobart has an indoor range for pistols. They do have an active skeet range as well. Its smaller then Griffith but overall more active younger members.

Now your application for thugship is in question. :p
The jedi racoon council will have to further investigate.
I helped last weekend rebuilding the backstop at the Glen Park Ike's.

3 years ago eh? The picture on their website is from 2 years ago and looks pretty new, so someone else may have taken up the cause. Suppose I'll just have to go out there and see

Got called back to work today. Gotta call medical tomorrow and make an appointment. They're not gonna let me back on light duty because I got hurt outside of work though. Hopefully I'm eligible for sick pay but I dunno. I think that makes me ineligible to keep collecting unemployment though.

Sheepdog Amory is a good place to order a firearm if you are paying cash and know what you want. I have bought from there twice and the cash price was very good. It's a father/son business. Pre-Covid they had limited stock, but there were some deals to be had. I had heard lately they were having issues getting inventory.

You should have already filed for sick pay, and started receiving it.

Don't you have to be "ready, willing and able" to receive unemployment? You also had to report the jobs you applied for.

I guess Rona quashed all of that.
