Also, I'm with everyone else on the K9 running away. I still work nearby K9 officers, and their dogs are usually looking at them a LOT. One of them I'm working near now carries her own leash and follows the handler without it.
Like, plenty I know do off leash work too, especially those that are dual purpose aka drug and patrol or bomb detection and patrol, because it wouldn't make sense to have a patrol dog that randomly runs off that is trained to bite.
Now, not all dogs are Patrol, because a lot don't have the temperament especially certain breeds.
It could also be the Malinois are a more hyper breed that isn't for every type of handler too.

There is a nice U pick next door to the Stracks in Highland. I can't remember the name.
    Scheeringa Farms & Produce
9436 Cline Ave, Highland, IN 46322

Support them if you can. The town of highland DOES NOT want to renew their lease on the land. It is owned by the stacks family who want to sell the land to the town of highland because the town board members want to develop condos in that area.

There was a town hall meeting this week about it over zoom. Too many people logged in to show support for NOT going thru with the deal. Unsure what the outcome was.

I hate to side with Stracks on this, but it is their property.

The farm is nice and I would like it to stay. I absolutely hate seeing farmland turned into housing.

But Jedi you cannot sell your gun, because the people have spoken.

    Democracy is just socialism light.

The farm was willing to buy the property from strak at the price strak was asking for. It was the TOWN that did NOT approve that sale as it would remain farmland. They want to develop condos for more tax revenue.

Well then, disregard what I said above I stand firmly with farmers everywhere, always.

The farm will eventually lose though.

Just like the one in Valpo a couple years ago. When they refused to sell for development the city reassed their property and sent them a $1,000,000 tax bill and they wound up selling for much less than it was worth.

    What is just f... up!!!
Jedi has no idea what occured with the zoom meeting.
Always follow the money. Jedi suspects some on the board are going to make some nice $$$ from this condo deal.
The traffic level on cline will go up more. Yuck!

Property tax revenue will go way up for the town of Highland, that is why the board wants the land. Agricultural land is the lowest taxed property in the county. Change that to R3 designation and the property tax revenue will go up exponentially.

    So yes, follow the $$$$

Seriously though, I'd avoid County Line Orchard. Very overpriced. At least a few years ago it was, and I dont suspect they've dropped prices

Not to mention what you spend in gas sitting in traffic.

Maybe in 10 years because I'm betting they'll offer tax abatements for the developers

Oh dont be mean to county line road. Yes they are an overpriced "amusement" fall park but you do need to admit that they have grown their biz over the years to be over-priced/profitable.

Just like the guy in New York (I think) that had ten acres of lake front property and had built their dream house that they were to retire in. A developer approached him and made an offer that he turned down handily. The gubmint declared imminent domain and took his property for "TAX REVENUE".

That should never be used unless it is absolutely necessary.

Act is right. They should be charged with Rico.
