Went there with my Son in Law the other day. The food was OK.

We were behind five cops that were dripping wet. They hey told him they couldn't say what they were doing, some kind of multi department training. When they left they went into the old Toys R Us storethatis under constion. MySiL posited that it was some kind of FoF training.

BTW: They're pretty good at their raccoon preparation there.

What happened to ya yesterday Steve? Was hoping to see you at the shoot

Howdie, d.man . Work schedule prevented me. Typing this from my office right now. Sucks, but in a good way (can I even say that)?. Suckage = $$. I've made up my mind to make one of these though, and will bring some fancy-pantsy INGO targets with me when I do.

What was the most interesting or funesest items that people brought with them?

    .

I enjoyed shooting Acts suppressed firearms.

At last shoot a few shot my mossberg shockwave and this time a few shot my Ar chambered in 6.5 grendel

Good time had by all. Planning another for October.

Need to.make it out because all work and no play will make Steve a dull boy

    I did my smoking yesterday.

    Duck with orange marmalade
Pork Loin with my own rub
Leg of Lamb with a combination of commercial rub, lemon peel and garlic rub

I would've but rained all morning here yesterday. Wouldn't of had enough time to get it smoked starting it that late

Bet that duck and lamb were delicious!

All 3 turned out well, the duck probably should have come out sooner, I left that in a little too long.

First time I ever smoked lamb and it is amazing.

I use an electric wood pellet Pit Boss brand smoker and had it pulled into a semi-protected area under a wide eve so the rain pretty much missed it. I started it up about 9am. I use a ThermoPro TP20 thermometer that has a transmitter and sends the temperatures of each meat to a receiver. The transmitter is rain resistant so that was a bonus yesterday. The receiver is programmable for the probe temps and signals an alarm when the meat reaches the desired temps.

Geez raccoon #2 was a biggie. And he DID NOT WANT TO DIE.

But, his carcass is in the garbage.
Left a nice puddle of blood on the ground.
