Well, my wife just left for NC for our daughter's wedding next weekend. I'll head out with our other daughter and her fiance' on Wednesday, and a son and hsi girlfriend head out on Thursday. Older son and his family arrive Friday. The whole clan will be together again!

Damaging winds, hail, and an isolated tornado will be possible this afternoon and evening. An initial round of showers and thunderstorms will likely move through the area this morning. A second round is expected this afternoon and evening near an approaching cold front. These storms will have the potential to become severe.

I'm waiting for the animals to start pairing up.

I try to keep enough to make it through a normal disaster that lasts a week or so. I could probably make it a month. Beyond that my wits and outdoors man and military skills would need to be relied upon.

We could eat for at least a month on the food we have, and we'd be set for TP too . Water would be a different story. I have two empty 5-gallon bottles that I need to clean out and fill, and it wouldn't hurt to pick up a few cases of bottled water.

But beans and rice require a lot of water to cook, so keep that in mind also.
