Brass valve on my BBQ grill seized up an then broke. So that controlled the right side of the grill. Its an older model, built in natural gas grill. The current model uses a different valve assembly. Searched for weeks for a replacement valve and found what I thought was correct. It wasn't. I tried to modify that to fit, it broke.
So today I had an idea. The grill has 3 burners. 2 bottom burners + 1 rear infrared rotisserie burner. We NEVER use the rotisserie. Well we did, once, about 5 years ago. So that valve is essentially unused. It is the same valve but with a different orifice installed.
Removed the valve assembly, took a pipe wrench to get enough leverage, but got the orifice removed. Removed the orifice from the broken valve and installed it on the good valve.
Reinstalled everything and it works. I have a grill with 2 burners again!
