Serious question for those church-going NWI members. Mama Snap and I have been invited to Easter service by a friend. It's been a LONG time since I've set foot in a church. What is the going contribution when they pass the collection plate these days?

since the talk was EV's recently I thought I'd share. 2017 nissan leaf in the shop today, 21k miles on it, customer hardly ever drives it, just sits on the charger waiting to go, well until today anyway. battery is DOA. $17,000 to replace it! needless to say the customer declined. I think we might need to send PD for a wellness check later cuz the sound they made didn't sound healthy.

I just looked, and almost thought it was cause the 3 year/36k mile warranty.
But then I looked at the pdf on the warranty

Unless there was a fender/bender.
Accidents are not covered by warranty.

It is 96 months on both battery sizes. 60 months on capacity for the smaller one.

I’ll be sure to inform them in the morning, worth a shot. I saw the 60 month Larry saw. And the car has an in service date of 9/16/16

Well the 2017 Leaf was probably available from August of 2016 to August of 2017 so 60 months would be over in August of 2021 to August of 2022. Of course it is possible some were sold after August 2022 because sometimes there are leftovers.

Many years ago I read a book called "The Vatican Empire". It was amazing even back then just how much they have in stocks, bonds, metals, jewels and real estate. Just stupendous amounts.

well told customer to try warranty, said they already called bosak nissan yesterday, was told to pound sand, the warranty is 60 months. told them to contact nissan usa. our involvement is over but asked them to keep us informed, guess we'll see.
