Anybody want to go in on a German battlepack of .308 from Bradis? I want the pleasure of shooting the 1919, but I think I would be satisfied with half of a battlepack; can't bring myself to pay for the whole thing, if I could be satisfied with half of it.

For a 1919A4 one should do it the honor of over a half of a belt of ammo (typically 225 to 250 rnds per belt) ;-). A young man showed up last month and he shot more than that just to get a good video. His video is not on line but a short clip with some old guy shooting is ;-). Video of 1919A4 and Assorted Links

How will we get our ammo prepped for the 1919? I am bringing a small chunk of loose 308 for a video and am curious.

I would buy subs if you can find them easily. Most suppressed semi autos seem to run them ok, probably becuase the suppressor makes them over gassed.

    dumb question here

when i buy ammo for the suppressed guns should i buy subs or super sonic ammo? will most of the semi autos cycle with the subs?

The question here is what type of suppressed guns and which subsonic ammo. For a .22LR there is probably no big deal shooting subsonic ammo. In a 9mm you need to be aware that some guns don't like the subs as they have heavier bullets. A friend took his MP5SD to one of these and that gun should not be shooting the 147gr ammo. As for the AR15's thats up to the owner....actually all of them are. If you bought subsonic .308 I wouldn't let you shoot it in any of my semi autos or the bolt actions either. Subsonic ammo can be unstable in the slower rifle twist rates which can cause issues with baffle strikes. If you want to be sure than you should ask the guys who's guns you want to shoot to get real answers...

So i just wanted to clarify that the Noob day list of firearms on the first page is completely up to date.... I will be buying ammo this week since I was just added to the list... :rockwoot:

    if all guns for Noob day are accounted for, im thinking;
    250 115gr 9mm
    250 147gr 9mm
    200 45acp
    100 7.62x39
    200 5.56
    100-200 .308
    400 subsonic .22lr

I think you may be over estimating your ammo usage. :dunno:

Last year I used less than half of what I brought, and I didn't bring that much.

    [STRIKE]250 115gr 9mm[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]250[/STRIKE] 200 147gr 9mm

    100[STRIKE]-200[/STRIKE] .308
    [STRIKE]400[/STRIKE] 200 subsonic .22lr

FIFY and you will still probably bring some home.
