New Range In Greenfield??

I caught wind of a rumor that there is a shooting range going in in Greenfield. anyone have any details?

Highsmith Guns in Greenfield is opening a new shop with indoor range in one of the buildings close to downtown.

Soon is all the sign says, I havent stopped in at their other store to ask them.

Well, hopefully it will be open before winter. It sure would be nice to have a semi-local indoor range when it gets colder out.

It can't take any longer than it's taken Beech Grove to open.

I believe we are still shooting for an october opening. It will be a 10 lane indoor range w/ right around 25 yards of length. We will also be adding multiple archery lanes, and will still offer gunsmithing as well as retail options. It will be pretty amazing when its done.

I think It was originally JULY, then AUG now I believe its OCT. Don't quote me on August date.

They are one of the few shops I enjoy going to. Super nice guys

Last time I asked them (a couple of weeks ago), they told me they were looking at a mid-October opening. Incidentally, I've had nothing but good dealings with Highsmith. I highly recommend them.

That could be good or bad, are they charging by the hour like Pops or by the 1/2 hour etc?

750,000 initial investment
1 million minimum liability coverage costs about 150 a month at least, probably more.

annual profits? who knows, but hopefully enough to keep the lights on.


I would say as a rule of thumb, expect about a million in investments.

I talked to them yesterday and it looks like they're moving the rest of the old store next weekend so should be soon.

Thought I would bump this, I drive by the building 5 days a week, and have seen people working. They have a sign up on the north side.

I was by their old store on Saturday, and it's closed (sign was down). Drove by the new location and saw them working on the exterior, didn't look like it was quite ready to open yet.
