    Hello all,

First post so please be gentle. I am a recently unemployed Vet that is looking to get his company going.

To the point. I am looking to start producing AR15 lowers here in Indiana, still waiting for FFL to go through. What do The rest of you think about a new Company producing Lowers? What do you look for in a lower? Acceptable price range, improvements, gripes, or suggestions.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

There are 2 ways to do this, high end and low end.

High end would be a nice BILLET lower, along the lines of Sun Devil or some of the others. Basically aiming for the target, varmint and precision shooting markets.

Low end, basically a mass produced forged lower. Prices right now run from $69 to $129 with about $99 being the sweet spot.

One thing you may want to consider is offering different finishes and I would also offer a matching upper, or perhaps 2 matching uppers. One a milspec flat top and the other being a target grade billet type, perhaps with a side cocking option as well.
