New discovery channel show on custom gun makers

I just saw a commercial for a new discovery channel show called Son of Guns that looks like it is about a guy who makes custom guns. It looks like he makes some tacticool stuff, not just a shotgun or something. Starts Jan 26.

If it's not then it wouldn't be produced, and it would not last long I'd imagine. They need to capture more than just the hardcore firearms crowd to get it to last. And that's too bad cuz I don't like the drama either.

The producers and editors could cut the show to make it more about the cool firearms vs the work/family drama. I seriously doubt they will be able to do that though. Hollywood pretty much follows very basic formulas, in an effort to get as large an audience as possible. That's why reality shows rarely have any reality in them.

Maybe I'm just being cynical but I doubt it. It might still be an interesting show. I'll be interested in how Discovery handles the subject matter.

I wanted to like this show, I really did.....but I'm not sure that I will watch it again! I can't STAND his daughter and I'm not sure I like any of the cast, JMO!

The daughters comment basically solidified me not liking nor watching it again:
"Only 2 people in this world can tell my dad what to do.....me and god"

Yep, I'll go back to watching something like American Idol instead!
