This is sort of where I am. Right now, I'm thinking about hoarding ammo for what I have already; maybe buy some steel tagets--dunno.

Ok, affordable for me is not a class 3 M16 or a Browning BAR or a classic P210 just give you an idea. For me and my income with my wife and 4 kids, I probably couldn't obtain firearms in $2k+ range. That's why I said affordable for you. Everyone would love to have a select fire M16 but it's not obtainable for everyone. I just know there's guns that I'd like to own and can definitely afford them but don't possess them. I always end up buying something else that catches my eye instead of buying that one handgun I've always wanted

Any rifle I might want won't be "affordable." The only real gap in my rifle collection is a larger caliber reach-out-and-touch-someone model. If I let myself think about it, I want something in .338 Lapua.

I was really interested in getting a .308 or .338 for quite a while. Eventually I realized that I don't have a location with enough distance to really make it worthwhile. Now if you have a place where you can shoot out past a couple hundred yards, it would be a lot of fun.

I guess the only item on my wish list right now is a 1911.
