this is the plan. We were going to have it stick built but found out about insulated concrete form construction. Our plan will be similar but we will have a full open 2 story great room instead of having the second one upstairs.

Well, I'm finally getting closer to starting on our house. I just ordered my 50x80 steel building kit today. I'm signing a building contract for my builder tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be digging the basement hole starting on the first of March. My barn steel should be here my mid to late April and should only take a week to get put up. I'm ready for it to be done so I can take some of my stuff and leave it there.

Saving dirt for your backstop? Can't you make a range diagonally across the property and get more than 450 yards? Seems worth it to me.

If you have a good spring coming into your new land, maybe a nice fishing pond and get it stocked properly!
