    Here's one of my guilty pleasures. The smile on Paula could have stopped a raging bull in his tracks.

    There's a scene in "Animal House" where one of the guys is singing that to a girl. After i saw that, i would sing it to my friend's mom (who was named Paula)...id only sing the "Hey hey Paula..." part, otherwise it might have been weird :):

    At 80 + years Doug Kershaw is still going strong. Here's his big hit, Louisiana Man, which turned into a classic -- one of the most recorded songs of all time by hundreds of different artists.

    I was working as a DJ at a country station when this song came out and I knew from the first hearing that it would be a #1 song. Some songs just outpower all the others.

    I grew up listening to Def Leppard, Nirvana, Pearl Jam. Once I got in high school('94) I started listening to Led Zepplin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix in addition to Soundgarden, Bush etc

    YES....Fragile all the way to present.

    My favorite band of all time. When I was in 7th grade, I got Close to the Edge as a gift. Was hooked for life. My friends were like "It only has 3 songs". They just didn't understand. ;) CM, did you get to see their concert in the round? From Market Square Arena;

    Good stuff! And this is my 1000th post. :rockwoot:Party on!

    That was a lame 1000th post. You should have done something radical to celebrate.
    Like slander a mod or something, something memorable.
    I will expect more on the 1500th and 2000th
