This was the days before iPods.
We had a "continuous loop" tape system, with 6 or 7 channels.

Put a ONE HOUR tape in.
Play the same one on the speaker for EVERY MEAL, EVERY DAY, EVERY WEEK for SIX months.

And then tell me that won't leave you addled.

I can see how that would get annoying. I know how sick I get of the radio songs when they keep playing the same song all the time. The irony is that I will play the same CD in the van for weeks sometimes and it doesn't bother me. Of course once I take the CD out I usually don't listen to it again for a long time.
