It was posted here before and on opencarry.org I can't remember the contact name for her, but it was the head regional Loss Prevention lady that confirmed it for Indiana.

I've never had occasion to say anything to them as none of the Target LP has ever said a word to me when I've been in their stores. Munster and Highland primarily. Also the one in Hobart once or twice but I'm not out that way much.
Thanks, I'll do some Internet searching for it.

JPY. about the quilafications to be a police officer. It's true the State Police require a College degree and perhaps Muncie does to. But Indianapolis Ploice Dept. Requires only a GED or High School deploma. They then send you through there academy. This is the state minimun requirements to be a Police officer in Indiana.

The qualifications I posted were for Ball State Police Department. Not Muncie. Ball State does not have "campus security". They have a full-fledged police department, who often assists MPD near campus.

I'm assuming that, since this is a State school, the qualifications to be on the BSU PD are the same as ISP.

Simons Malls don't allow open carry, i know that, but like was stated, as long as your cool and the security guard is cool, things will be....cool right?

I've had my LTCH for almost a month now. The first 2-3 weeks I cc'ed, due to mainly being worried about freaking other people out. You know what I say? **** 'em. lol...I have open carried the remainder of the time I've been in Indiana. Granted, the only handgun I have as of right now is a little P3at(not exactly menacing). It's so much more comfortable, and I have had no issues with anyone noticing it, or hearing anyone say anything about it. The only place I CC it is when I go to the Greenwood Park Mall, because I know it's an issue waiting to happen.

It sucks right now that I'm in Florida for the week and I can't open carry, but I'm thankful for the fact that I'm able to carry at all down here. I won't have that luxury next week when I go to Los Angeles.

Ball State police are legit and have the same power as any other Muncie police officer. Also, you are not allowed to carry on campus although many including myself have because there are some hairy spots on the edges of campus at night when you are walking home. My experience with campus police while at BSU was that they weren't to bad and were pretty straight up with the students even if they were busting a party or whatever. Ball State police took a bad rap a few years back when one of them shot an unarmed person but that is a debate we don't want to restart either:)

Me and a friend have both open carried in the Walmart in Muncie at the same time. And he even bought another gun while we were there, lol. The funny part is the manager had to escort us to the front with the rifle my friend bought. But knew we were both carrying. lol.

Thats great, they did the same thing at Dick's when I bought my muzzle loader!:dunno:
