It does. Answer is, there is no good/easy way to get the job done. Firearms are shipped daily without incident (hundreds, I'm sure), but those aren't MY firearms. My wife would tell you I'd tote every blessed one of them into the hotel room every night because I'd be worried about the U-Haul getting stolen in the middle of the night. And that does happen, and happens more often than the media reports, I would suspect.

U-hauls are a target with thieves.
Trailers of any sort are tempting for A$$ Hats.

Toys locked in cases in trunk should satisfy most jurisdictions - especially if you are just passing through on the interstate

Uhauls at highway motels are often targets of thieves and the motel washes it's hands of it with a simple sign.

And any other truck and trailer that might have goodies in it. A couple fuses or missing plug wires ensure your 3+ tons is still in the same place tomorrow.

I thought of doing that! :) Guess we think alike.

How about movers? Can they take guns?

There is no way on earth I would ever trust movers. We used a national moving chain during our move to Minnesota. We had plenty of items come up missing, some not discovered for quite awhile(unpacking your life takes time).I did not trust them with firearms, and it is probably a good thing we moved those on our own.A couch sure let the movers handle it.Anything you really value or that has real value handle on your own.We where at least lucky enough to have one person on the crew who spoke English(they packed and moved us).Total nightmare, and I will never use a moving company again.
