I've thought of this over and over; some of the neat things, automotive and otherwise, that I wish I had kept.

However, since we don't really know what is going to be collectible in the future and what is not, the alternative is to end up with garages full of (mostly) junk. And the opportunity to be on an episode of Hoarders. :):

I have sold very few things in life, and what I have sold over the years I have regretted selling.
We were at the James Dean fest over the weekend with her looking at cars and me going through piles of the junk that some saved.
Some of that junk sure sells for good money today....

Funny how the Japanese imports keep looking more and more like Milwaukee Twins....

I'm happy being in the middle, and in neither camp. I'd like to think of it as my "Four S's" - simple, safe, sane, stylish.

FWIW, that 650 Ninja got me looking at specs - and their 400 Ninja has about the same performance as my Royal Enfield 650.

I'd get into some trouble on a race bike.

Good video - but ended too soon.

Reminds me to get out and do more practice braking.

    EDIT: Part 2 & 3! :rockwoot:

And those bikes, both foreign and domestic, are losing market share to other styles of bikes. Obviously the big V Twins still dominate. And HD is still the big dog of the V Twin. But both HD and the entire market for that style of bike is a shrinking share. A couple categories are growing. Overall I believe the US moto market is actually shrinking.

All are good videos but I would leave the trail breaking for the more advanced rider. Trail braking was the only way to get the Fury to turn quickly on the Dragon. Probably best learned on a dirt bike where errors are not as painful.

Just locked up the front the other day for a an ambulance that flew into a crossing intersection, that was an attention-getter! Fortunately the road was dry, I was on high alert, and I had the wherewithal to keep it from taking me down.
