So I was drunk on the internet again and came across these nifty wheel stripes. After installing them today I'm not sure I'm sold on them. So what do you think? Looks good? Too squid? Let me hear it?

I like 'em. Not really that noticeable in the day lighting. Only to you. Might save your bacon in the dark?

Price? Where did you buy them? How difficult to put on? Will they stay on? Think they'd look OK on silver wheels?

They come in many colors so silver wheels can work too. Simple install and from having them on other bikes they last several years.

    Ebay has what you need.

Kind of busy looking with the black and white colors. I think they would be ok as solid white. Appear to reflect light very well so may be a life saver.

Haven't you got oil spots to clean up? :lmfao:
Ive gone modern, got rid of the cookie sheets and went to "Pig Mats" a few years ago.

    Edit
It would look awesome to set those white strips up to get The Wagon Wheel Effect when your moving.
Flip on the blue leds and crank up the fosgate with some vintage Tone Loc "Wild Thing"

Besides installing controversial wheel stripes I have added a convenience item. USB phone charger and on/off toggle switch. Once again late night Ebay surfing paid off. :40oz:

What about that (assumed aftermarket) gear indicator? Do you use it?

I have read of folks putting those in, but I have lived just fine without one for the last 20K miles?

Yes, I do on occasion try to shift into 7th, which my Kawasaki does not have. :ugh:

If you are trying to shift into 7th you probably need to slow down

Another Ebay buy. Plugs into the OBD port under the seat so no wire tapping needed. Works only after the clutch is released but helps me check the status before entering a corner. Plus it informs me I'm in 6th so stop shifting! Less than 40 bucks

My short levers were an eBay purchase. Still love 'em, after years of use.

Now you have me looking at wiring, ugh.

    Can't go slow. I'm not a Harley rider. ;)

Its easy with vintage Americana, The 50FL Pan,
When the jockey shift is all the way forward and the throttle is wide open.
Its in fourth gear and you are doing about 94mph.

You will be looking cool more afraid of whats gonna fall off or lock up than looking at a gear light.
Then the car horns start beeping because of the exhaust oil that speckled all the cars behind you... You pull over and drop in a qt of 60W.
