For loaded magazines I like these fancy magazine containers. Buy them on-sale.
    Which they are right now.

They also have them for AR-15 magazines.
    These are not on-sale.

    This is a combo container.

These make range trips nicer. You can spend your time shooting instead of loading.

For empty magazines I just stack them wherever lol.
That's going to change though. I'm going to buy a plastic tub and put them in it.

Had not thought about organizing all my loading mags. I have them hanging on the safe door on the shelf lined up. I liked the idea of making a low profile style case for a quick grab/go. Just do some pick/pull foam. Harbor freight has some good cases similar to pelican that I use for my gopro stuff.

Found this as well which led me to Harbor freight where you can get the $10 .50 cal ammo boxes plastic or metal.

Couple ideas to think about. I have a bunch of big stock Glock mags would I would have lay them horizontal

    Most are in a drawer.

    Some are on shelves.

    The cabinet under that drawer.

Then there is the plate carrier, scattered around, in the vehicles, in the upstairs safe, and in the range bags.

I keep all mine loaded. I’m sure someone will say I’m hurting the springs
All mine in important areas are loaded (which doesn't hurt the springs, it's the cycling that does that). Pretty confident I can leave things like Makarov, Tokarev, UZI, and such unloaded. Hence the drawer.
