Spare AR mags go in a large plastic tote, other spare rifle and pistols mags go in plastic shoe boxes. Range mags stay in ammo can with range ammo, separate can for each caliber. Ready mags on top of safe.

Had not thought about organizing all my loading mags. I have them hanging on the safe door on the shelf lined up. I liked the idea of making a low profile style case for a quick grab/go. Just do some pick/pull foam. Harbor freight has some good cases similar to pelican that I use for my gopro stuff.

Pistol mags for the pistol range bag, I have modified a SAW mag pouch. Using a couple of the dividers that come with it and some cardboard held in shape with duct tape.

Found this as well which led me to Harbor freight where you can get the $10 .50 cal ammo boxes plastic or metal.

Couple ideas to think about. I have a bunch of big stock Glock mags would I would have lay them horizontal

All mine in important areas are loaded (which doesn't hurt the springs, it's the cycling that does that). Pretty confident I can leave things like Makarov, Tokarev, UZI, and such unloaded. Hence the drawer.
