This was my Dad's 1954r Russian SKS..Here are some before and after pics. I still need to finish it up with a scope or red dot. I didn't care for the old look and feel, as it was not comfortable to shoot. So I came across the Tapcom Conversion kit. I ordered the one with the lower pic railing and just modified it to fit the bayonet back on(didn't like the left open space)

I can't justify the cost of an SVD(or the idea of running corrosive ammo through it), so I picked up a PSL and a bunch of magazines.

I have about a week worth of work into this. I have a good few days put into just re-furbing all the magazines for it. The action is like butter. Out of the box the rifle was a piece of junk, now it's pretty amazing.

One of many, eventually I'll get around to posting the rest. Probably my cheapest rifle yet but it's my favorite.

This isnt really the most impressive of rifles, but i really enjoy shooting it, and I havent seen a ton of these floating around.
Ruger PC 40, pretty darn accurate for a .40!
