I remember one of my brothers created an account, while he was living in my house.
His account got disabled because the mods thought I created a shill account, because it was from my same internet address.
So I had to contact the mods and explain it was in fact, a different person.

That's what they all say.

Could be. A Proxy server is a middleman server that you tell to do something, it does it, and relays the info to you. It can be used for several different reasons. One of which is hiding where you are really from. A non-technical example; You call your wife's desk at work. You have her dial my number for you on her other line, and then transfer you to THAT line. When my phone rings, I see HER caller ID pop up because you are using her phone to call me. So when we talk, it looks to me like you are somewhere you arent. Or someONE you arent.
