I once tried to ban mbills. I filled out the page, and just as I was about to click "accept" I hesitated...it was like sighting down the barrel at a puppy.

Quite an education reading all this. I often don't notice someone is gone until someone brings it up. Then I think "oh yeah, haven't heard from them lately". Not my forum, but wonder if mods could post to us what someone did to get banned, i'e: The specific post. I'm on three gun forums and have seen some trolls come in, do their trash for awhile staying just on the edge, and then disappear forever. Not saying that's what is going on in these threads. I enjoy the wide variety of opinions.

Usually if it's a post, it's removed. Probably best that way.

A lot of the time it's what get's sent in PM's that the downfall. And the P is for private.

I was surprised to see FindingZzero on the list. I looked back at his posts and didn't see anything.

I always thought of FindingZero as that slightly crazy, but cool, old retired neighbor who you don't see for weeks, but every once in a while comes outside in his bathrobe with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other to tell you a funny story or two. I could see him getting inappropriate, but not malicious.

Even if that were true, I can't think of a reason to put it out publicly. Either the mods already know, and are keeping it quiet as long as he behaves himself, or they didn't know and now would have to address it. Either way, not ideal to put it on blast.

In so many cases it is a "squeaky wheel" kind of situation.

We will have a user that participates well in a number of areas, but pushes the envelope in others. There are not many of us (mods) here, and our time is limited, when we have to spend too much time monitoring the activities of a particular user we are unable to focus on the rest of our duties here.

Feel you there. There is a reason I refuse to be a deacon at church. I don't like people, and I don't want to like them less than I do now.

FZ will be missed, I must have missed something, as he always was poking people, but never really attacked anyone.

88gt gave me one of my first reps (if not my first).

mBills always brought levity to any situation. He will be missed the most.
