Good call only they would lie to be with productive people. Lets call it the land of work. You dont work you dont eat. The insane, the handicap, the stupid can do something to be productive. I got a cat that is physically challenged, but still catches mice, she doesn't know she is a welfare queen. For people its a learned response.

Where I live, we leave each other alone. I don't think I've physically seen my neighbors across the road in 4-6 months and I've only talked to them 3-4 times in the 2.5 years I've lived here. We're not into each others business.

I haven't the faintest idea what my neighbor's political philosophy is. Do you? They're not sicking government on me so we get along just fine.

I figure that if we kept Rhode Island to only those who truly want liberty, there'd only be a few thousand there.

Do you mean 'lie to' or 'lie with'? You have me wondering whether you are referring to the telling of falsehoods or prostitution (although both would seem to apply).

I know this conflicts with your general theory of 'live and let live' and I wish it would work. You may recall that our initial problems with Moslems started in the early years of the republic because the aforementioned Moslems were unwilling to let our ships sail peacefully past them on the open sea. So far as I can tell, they are no more peaceful now than they were then. Their book calls for hostility and plenty of them seem to be willing to follow its commands. Any workable peace must be by mutual agreement. I do not consider unilaterally deciding to accept a certain amount of loss of life and property in the name of avoiding a war in the conventional sense to constitute peace. Referring back to the swipe at 'theocrats', you may wish to remember that many among us demonize Christians for declaring certain behaviors to be wrong and/or opposing state sanction of those activities which seems grossly out of place contrasted with the fact that the 'peaceful' Moslems address some of the same behaviors with summary execution, but somehow they are less 'threatening' than Christians wagging their fingers and opposing gay marriage.

Let's kill two birds with one stone. Give the libs Cali, Oregon and Washington state. Take Israel out of the middle east and give them the western states inland of the libs all the way down to the border. The Israelis wouldn't have to worry about all of their neighbors trying to wipe them off the map and we would never have to worry about illegal immigration again. Problem solved.

The problem with your solution is that 1. The Jews are perfectly happy with their "God-given" homeland; they're just having problems with their neighbors. and 2. even if the Israelis moved here, the libs would either import terrorist fighters, or allow them to come through their country to attack the Israelis and us - because they hate our country almost as much as the Islamist Jihadis do; they just don't have the guts to do anything physical about it; and they don't need to because they control the Courts and the Fourth Estate, which was supposed to protect us from them.

That's odd. I don't recall seeing very many people on this forum calling for the extermination of all Muslims, although I do admit to seeing a few "nuke 'em all and let Allah sort 'em out" posts, but those IMO were just venting.

Sounds cool but I don't think it would work. The constant threat of a free thinking and productive society from the Red would be under continuous attack, resulting in more fighting.

I dont think it would be much of a fight. We the red would all be armed and fighting for the right to be free. The blue would be unarmed, well except for the leaders and elites of their side, probably wearing garments made out of sticks and leaves and living outside on the ground because they dont want to harm the enviroment in anyway. They wouldnt have a mechanized army for the same reason, too much of a carbon footprint. They undoubtedly would be going hungry because of their communal society where everyone gets a share of the collective. Which is where we are at today in our society. No...I dont think there would be much fighting at all except for the droves of people realizing what a giant mistake it was choosing to go with blue and trying desperately to get back into the red.

I want to live where the concept of freedom isn't limited to one person's idea. Whether that person is Obama or Hornady.
