How far are you from Nancy ? One of my sons attended University there for a year in about 1993 or 94...can't remember for sure. He stayed with a family of a girl he met here in Indiana while attending Franklin College. He really liked that area. Then summer of 1995 we were contacted by an 18 year old young man from the Nancy area that knew the family our son stayed with. He was wanting to visit the U.S. so they put him in contact with us. He called us out of the blue, explained his situation, and ask if we could help him out. He ended up coming here and staying with us for a couple weeks...very nice young man who was "amazed" at things he saw ( particularly intrigued by Amish ). Kept in touch for a number of years until after he married, started a family, moved, etc. and now we have lost touch. Still...truly is a small world.
