Well, I took the Lage .22 kit out for its inaugural run today...
I did have one *very* strange malfunction where a spent casing got flipped around 180 degrees while still on the bolt face, then the force of the bolt slamming home smashed the case onto the firing pin, requiring disassembly of the upper and a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove it.
I got a kit it runs very well and a blast to shoot

Hey Mark, check out this. Someone sent me pics yesterday of my newly remodeled upper
I saw those pics before you did.
And as an update to my OP, I spoke with Jackie Lage today, and she is sending me a replacement loader. I also opted to buy one of their adapters that will allow me to use my Butler Creek 10/22 mag loader (the rotary one) to load the M-11/22 mags faster, while still preventing rim-lock.
She said that if the combination of mag loader, and trying different ammunition types doesn't result in improved reliability, that I should send the kit back in to them for a look-see. So a big to Lage Manufacturing customer service.
More news as events warrant.
Hey Mark, is this you in the picture on here?
Yeah that whole website is his.
Any updates?
I received a replacement loader from Lage a few days ago, as well as an adapter that allows their M-11/22 mags to be loaded with my Butler Creek 10/22 loader. I have also picked up some Remington Golden .22 ammo, which Lage claims his unit was designed around (Why, I ask you? WHY?). Dealing with Jackie @ Lage Mfg. has been very pleasant; she told me that if the combination of the new loader and trying different ammo doesn't result in an increase in reliability, I should send the conversion back to them and they would look at it.
I'll update as soon as I've had another chance to run the conversion unit.
Mine ran like crap. I sent it back and had it aligned.
Mr. Lage basically fits that specific kit to the upper. Not sure what he does specifically. In the owner's manual for the 22 kit it talks about how you can look at the ejector and see/feel it. If it is the slightest amount off it can cause all kinds of problems. If there is a problem, he will fix it. Uzitalk is the place to go for info on the m11 and everything Lage.
I wasn't sure if mine needed it. It looked borderline to me. I sent it in and sure enough it was off.
Have you tried Rem Golden Bullet? That is what they were designed to run with.Mine runs flawless.Got mine running pretty good now. Still has the occasional stovepipe, but it seems to like Winchester Super X.
