    Another necro post...

    Have had a chance to handle some of the Wusthoff knives:

    Think we're just about set on the Grand Prix series.

    4" paring knife
    5-6" boning knife
    5-6" Santoku (sp?) are what we're in the mood for.

    I like my wusthof and my henkels. the calphalon katanas i got were made in china and the pairing knife had about an 1/8" big flaw in the cutting edge. If you go with henckels make sure you go Twin (german made with the "two man" logo). The Japanese knives are nice as well.

    The bottom line is test a few of the knives out if you get the chance. See what feels good in your hands. Sorta like gun shopping ;oP
