    First, they're magazines. And second, they lack the ability to "assault" anything.

    I keep my PMAGs loaded to 28. Not so much for the feedlips, but because I find them easier to seat on a closed bolt.

    This is the reason for downloading to 28...not to eliminate "stress" on the feed lips or internals.

    My only firearm with clips is the mosin ...and it only "assaults" me when my thumb gets in the way of the clip when loading. Technically, that's a self-inflicted wound ...just sayin' ;)

    I never put my shoulder thing (barrel shroud) all the way up because I heard that could wear it out and it needs to rest. :):

    If its up for more than 4 hours I think you're supposed to call a doctor.
