Bought one a few weeks ago to carry instead of my usual mod 649 .
It's reliable but recoil with 230g stuff is so bad that all the power is wasted or at least offset by my flinching.
I have tried 185 gr 45 acp and it's better but I think over-all that 45 acp is too much of a good thing in an 18 oz pistol.

Yeah, personally, I think small, polymer .45s are not the best to have. I'd use a PM9, but the 45 is pushing it. :)

I look into geting one but end up with a CW9, try some 165gr loads. I also wanted a S&W 340PD (13oz .357mag) and after reading how thw gun recoils with full powers loads I said never mind, Im very happy with my CW9, very easy to shoot and very small for 8 rds of 9mm.

For me the best pocket gun is a Kel-Tec P40 with a Desantis Nemisis pocket holster. 9+1 rounds in a 40 S&W has the punch I want. I have found out that the recoil is not as bad as I thought it would be, but the trigger takes a while to get used to.
