Have had a few f-bodies, last was an 83 z-28, 20k miles, full power, built 468 BBC with 2 stages (150/300), coan 4000 nitrous stall, TH-400 with a 2.10 first grear, 4.10 12 bolt, 28 inch tall tires... Broke an intake rocker arm and it still ran like a raped ape... On a 150 shot spinning hard is still ran like 10.4@136 or something stupid. Car was built in the early 90's. had open exhaust, was stupid loud.....

Very much into automotive. Though I tend to be very specific on what I like, I can appreciate many aspects.

Some examples of what I am personally interested in would be:

The 1987-1988 Ford Mustang GT hatchback with T-Tops.

The 1994-1996 Ford F-150 regular cab Flare side 4x4s.

The 2004-2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2 door.

    The 1970 Mustang Mach 1.

    !984-1990 Bronco IIs.

I had a couple of bikes, but I sold them.

Right now I am working on putting a 302 into the BII. The mustang t-tops and Unlimited 2 door are high on my wish list.

I also keep having a weird idea of chopping the roof off of a short bed 4x4 pick up of some kind.

I am going to school for automotive, actually, with hopes of either getting into or starting a shop that does custom one offs for clients or resto-mods classic vehicles.

Good luck. People are still asking high prices for them.

Well... I was NOT expecting such a response to this thread! I'm telling you what, a gun forum is more active then the number of car forums I've been on over the years. I LOVE IT. I'll have to get some pictures of my 240z up later.

I must say, being 20 and having a car hobby, the picking up a gun hobby. Things get really hard to afford, and deciding where to allocate my funding is a challenge. Pictures to come of both cars later.

Cars with turbos! I've had a Buick T type, a Chrysler turbo LeBaron (SLOOOW), Eagle Talon TSi AWD (still have it), Galant VR4 turbo AWD (~375 AWHP), 3000 GT VR-4 (twin turbo ~400 AWHP) & a Mitsu Spyder GS-t (all stock turbo).

The Talon is the quickest/fastest @ ~650 AWHP and runs mid 10 sec 1/4 @ 135+ mph. I have a room full of awards for this car. Autox, drags, road course, etc...

Got a 1990 Toyota Hilux pickup with 3800 SC in the bed. Daily driver and track toy. I still have a 1966 Olds Cutlass 2dr HT that I will restore one day. I have been a car guy so long I made my hobby my profession.

Oh and I am getting ready to put a 1968 Olds 455 into my 1982 Suburban. The 350 is tired and I have a 60k mile motor. Also because I can.
No pictures of the TIC? You should take a bow for the feat of engineering.

I always thought it would be a blast to swap around the driveline in a 1st gen turbo eclipse ala midengine style. Took all the measurements and even dummied up a cradle for the install but alas life happens and it never came to fruition. Nowadays finding one nice enough to use as a basis almost makes it a shame to cut it up.

Too many other projects though, 65 mustang SCCA car, 89 mustang gt convert cruiser, mating the golfcart with the 24 hp honda vtwin, keeping the daily drivers in shape, playtime on the fjr, etc, etc, etc.:rockwoot:

Yes it does. It hasn't been out of the barn in a few years. I need to get it out and give it a makeover. Just an over powered go kart.

Yes...you need to get it out.

I have posted this one before as well. Son and I did a frame off on it. Won class at 500 world of wheels with it. GM performance 4 bolt main block and heads. Steel crank...eagle rods...comp hydraulic roller cam...B&M super charger...535 RWHP...Muncie M-22 trans...after market suspension all around. Fat jack A-arms and bushing kit and springs up front...to much to list.
Stupid fast and cornered better than my skill sets could master.

Wife and I did a lot of this when we first got together (33 yrs. ago..) and we do miss it. Nice pic out doing it in the woods.

This is the truck we built to go out and do much the same. Long time ago.
Pic was before we did a body lift and put 40's on it. Has 38.5's on it in the pic. Would go anywhere I wanted to go.

    Damn those were fun day's.

Nope. 1964 Chev suburban custom 100. Body was near stock but frame and drive train were beefed a lot. Dana's front and rear. Stroked (391ci) small block.
Granny low 4 speed from a light duty wrecker with a power take off. Dual Battery's and inverter. Alternator from an ambulance.
It really helps to have friends that own a wrecking yard/towing service.

Wife has medical issues that made us sell her Harley so off roading is really out of the plans.
The burb was set up to stay in and we would be out for days before we had kids and had to not be as cool anymore.......:):
