To take this class, is it required to take the Basic Pistol first?

Ive been shooting handguns for a few years now and have some competitions but have never taken any classes.

A great question. No BP 100 is not required before taking this course. If you feel comfortable with drawing from a holster then this is the place to start. I am comfortable with any student taking this class if they feel drawing a gun is not above their ability level.

This is not a competition class and it is not a defensive pistol class. This is an essentials of shooting class. How to shoot fast and accurately. I will teach essential skills on how to handle and shoot the hand gun. These skills will pertain to both types of handgun shooting. This class will help you on your journey to be faster and more accurate.

This may be a dumb question but does it matter what type of handgun is brought to the class? I'd like to take it, but not sure if I'd be better off with my M&P9 compact or my 1911.

It does not matter to me or the class. Bring the one you want to shoot.

One thing that is helpful to everyone is to have at least three magazines.

Printed my form today and will get it mailed next week.

Need to get a good magazine holder/pouch, mine is a bit less than optimal.

3 magazines as in 1 in the gun and 2 in pouches?? or just to have an extra mag off to the side and one in the pouch?

Three mags total is the minimum. More is better. One in the gun makes it all work out for the best.:)
