What I find interesting is this whole concept of private property...who has it?

Doesn't the government own all property?

If not, why do we continue to pay them rent, under penalty of force, even after we have paid off the mortgage and are "free and clear"?

Yes, a public smoking ban would suck. Yes, it must be stopped. Just don't forget the big picture while fighting such diversions.
