Maybe I'll just have to write a few letters to my school.
DON'T DO THAT. That is the best way to get you on the radar.

IMHO, I say carry. Concealed means concealed and it should never be seen or known about. I carried when I was in college and nobody knew about it and I never got in trouble.

What college do you go to?

ETA, Oops, this thread is really really old.

Bapak, understand that I am just asking, did she cite any authority for such a statement?:dunno:

Is IDNR intentionally giving out bad advice as a backdoor to the repeal of the "no carry in parks" rule?

We need to put a stop to this if so!

Something that always irritated me was that my college had it written in the handbook that no firearms were allowed on campus PERIOD, not even locked in your vehicle. So, I felt they were taking away my 2nd amendment rights when I was traveling to and from school every day...Let's not tell them that it was still in my car anyways :):

Yes, you can. As long as you are the one doing the driving, and you must stay in your vehicle.

I carry my gun in class all the time. I usually have at least one shotgun near me also. Sometimes I am even in my PJs. Yep, you guessed it, on-line classes.

What about State Parks like Pokagon? I have seen posts on here that seem to say both yes and no. Anyone have code references to give definite answer?

Just as an idiotic question and I think I already know the answer.

Is it against the IC to carry in a post office?

It isn't a government building as far as I know.

I thought the post office is not a goverment agency, but is a separate company controlled by the goverment.

If I am wrong please politely explain, don't light me up like an afgany terrorist compound..

The reason I ask is I carry in the Post Office all the time..

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but post office buildings are goverment property including the parking lot.

Park across the street and leave your weapon in the car or you are in violatin.

Not saying you should do so but that would make you in compliance.
