    It could be worse........................

I am ashamed of how much I have spent on knives lately. (I have a Busse problem now to go with my BRD.)

I am also ready to give my one of my SBRs a makeover, and will soon get my form1 off on a Draco SBR project.

    re: a little ashamed

I have also relapsed into BRD after years of staying clean.

There, there Pdog. We found a shrink who'll come up with a fancy medical term for "there's not a damn thing wrong with you". Of course, if they actually made it public, they'd be immediately fired and replaced with a commie lib who would be more than happy to give you all manner of reasons to be ashamed, including but not limited to (and in no particular order):

    1) your occupation
    2) your race
    3) your constitution and country of allegiance (unless it's something other than the US of A)
    4) any past history of being a "tool of the military-industrial complex" (IOW a veteran)

Someone somewhere is drafting legislation to have this banned from the innertubez as [gun]pornography.

I just bought my very first EBR a couple of weeks ago.
What the ... er ...uh well, better late than never. :)

Whoa whoa whoa, cop salary you know ;)
Yeah, yeah. Overworked and underpaid. :joke:

... I'm a proponent of having multiples of the same platform ...
    :yesway:

Since 2 is 1 and 1 is none, you need 4 to end up with 2 and that sounds like your goal number... So better pick up 2 more.

    I-get-around
I'm ashamed I allowed myself to fall victim to yet another scare. I have also relapsed into BRD after years of staying clean.

I need another $40 lower, but couldn't find one I liked (Delaware Machinery is sadly out of the AR business now AFAIK), so I DIDN'T buy a lower before or during the panic...and I and was VERY concerned that I missed the boat when all of the affordable ones dried up. From that perspective, I lucked out and was relieved about the extent of the EOs. That said, who has recommendations for a $40 price range lower? Looking to do a .300 Blackout SBR build with this upper:
    300 BLK Upper, 9" Barrel

Oh....the shame..... Major components for the upper are in and assembled. Magpul MBUS Pro and a Trijicon MRO are on the way. I've got it on my SBR lower for now until I get the Warcomp pinned and welded, then I can put it on the LMT lower that should be here tomorrow. For some reason the Magpul Fixed Carbine stocks and Moe K2+ grips are sold out just about everywhere. I get a decent discount from a few places so I'll be waiting until they come back in stock to order them for the lower.

Just an FYI, Lone Wolf in Avon has MOE K2+'s in stock. At least three days ago they had several, I picked up an OD one.

She's almost complete. I'm waiting on a set of Troy Micro Sights which will (hopefully) cowitness with the low mount of the MRO. Other than that I may add an MLOK QD adapter on the rail to push the sling out farther forward at some point and I'll likely move the light one slot farther as well. I'm really pleased with the weight and balance, I think it'll do well as my new primary. I'm going to let the SBR go into semi-retirement, she's earned it.

Have you used the mro yet? Thoughts?

It has the reported issues, slight magnification, blue tint and red glare with a bright light source behind me. I haven't decided yet if it will be an issue. I just got the Troy Micro sights today so I'm hoping to get time to zero it this week. I've decided that if I don't get a shift in POI between one eye open and both eyes open at 50 yards I'll keep it. In the grand scheme of things I don't spend significant periods of time looking through a red dot so I don't think the issues will bother me. I do like the field of view better than my T1.
