    I beg to differ on the loaded gun in a hotel room.a friend of mine from Indiana stays in hotel rooms of and all over the state of Illinois. several years ago he called the state police to find out the legality of having a loaded gun for protection in his hotel room.he was told that it was legal to have a loaded gun for his own personal protection in a hotel room because under the circumstances it's the same as being in your own house. I would think under the new law you would have to unload the gun in your car and carry it unloaded to your hotel room and then you could reload.

    I think that's what I was getting at, and the post above yours also meant. I thought anything considered your domicile might be excluded. Caution though, No Guns signs do carry weight of law under the new law. If the hotel posts them relative to their private property there may be a gray area.
