That's a tough one. I guess considering personal defense, possible meat on the table, plinking, and somewhat for conversational value, I'd have to go with my Colt New Service. It was made in 1918 and originally sent to the Brits chambered for .455 Eley. I've since converted it to .45 Colt, which to my mind is pretty versatile when it comes to reloading for differing purposes.

For me, it would have to be my Ruger GP100 .357 stainless. Simple, easy to shoot and reliable. I also like the fact that I can shoot .38's in it all day long.

Like some of the others, it would depend on what my situation was. I would choose different ones for different circumstances. Taking your question at face value though, if I had to keep only one, the one it would be would be my HK P7.

Tough question. I dearly love shooting my Ruger MK l, plus it's cheap. I dearly love my S&W 66, it was my favorite carry gun. I love my MP 9 MM, fun to target shoot, solid for home defense.

But i dearly love shooting and carrying my new S&W 1911SC e series bobtail. I need to get a good holster for it now.
