In high school my weekly consumption of tobacco was a carton of Marlboro's, a roll of Skoal and two pouches of Beech Nut. The cigs were less than five bucks a carton, the Skoal was four fifty a roll, Beech nut eighty cents or there abouts. Quit cigs in '77, quit chewing in '86 started on cigarillos, kicked them by starting dipping again, price got high, got cheap and quit. I to this day would love to inhale on a good Marlboro or take a dip while riding my horse. It is those little ritual things like chewing while watching your bobber when fishing is when it will hit the hardest. Always thought about the time I hit 80, might pick me up a pack of Salems, that is what I started smoking and as dumb as it sounds, love the taste. When I buy a gun, I tell myself that is from all the tobacco money I save over the years!!!!!!!
